What can I say about Waldo other than it has not changed much in the 20 years I’ve lived here. When my family and I first arrived in Florida twenty years ago, we stopped for gas in Waldo before continuing on to Gainesville. We thought that was a funny name for a town – what with the comic character “Where’s Waldo” popular at that time. Over the years we have come to appreciate the sleepy little town, located between Jacksonville and Gainesville largely due to its flea market.
