“Animals are such agreeable friends – they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms.” – George Eliot
Sir Maximillion was foaled on our land February 28, 2000. He was a registered chestnut Arabian Stallion, whose Dam was a Polish Arabian named Delta Rae and whose Sire was an Arabian stallion from Arabia named, The Ohern. His bloodline was exquisite as was his posture and demeanor, and he brought us many years of pleasure. For an Arabian, he was extremely well-behaved, as evidenced by the fact that he remained a stallion until his death during the night of October 25, 2011.
We are very saddened by the loss of Sir Maximillion and will fondly remember him. I can still see his happy face neying at me when he came for his dinner, or when we gave him one of his favorite treats – a pear from one of our trees. That picture will forever be etched in my memory.
Happy grazing in the big, green, grassy field beyond Max, we will miss you!
